Seems like we change genres at the drop of a hat, doesn't it? This comic can go from fantasy to musical to sophmoric buddy picture in the blink of an eye. And now we proceed to the genre of... horror.

Seriously, what sort of diseased mind could come up with stuff like this? Personally, I put the blame (or credit, depending on who you ask) on DGC. This is one of his oldest ideas, finally coming to dreadful Frankensteinian life in Episode 145.
