On Monday I began my new job after six months of unemployment. While normally this would be a cause of celebration, instead it was a day of sadness. This past Saturday, my friend Dan Ellsworth, whom I looked forward to working with in my new job, died in his sleep. He was 62. I will always remember how he always called himself "God's Gift to Women," as well as "God's Gift to the World," etc. I have encountered few people able to be such a force of life, so utterly fearless and free. Very few people live like Dan did, and he will be sorely missed by all that knew him.
