Okay, with just three words I'm going to alienate anyone who happens to read this comic. Here it goes...

HAPPY TERRORISM DAY!!!

All joking aside, one of the things I find most offensive is how the Bush administration seems to regard September 11, 2001, a tragedy to this nation and the world, with a certain sense of glee. While they might play at being sorrowful at the death of thousands of Americans, the conservatives have exploited September 11 like I have never seen anyone exploit anything. The War on Terrorism, as vague and never-ending as the War on Drugs (that they have nicely tied in to the War on Terrorism) is used to justify everything the Bush administration does. From the massive tax cuts to the rich to the relaxing of environmental standards, from drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to the War on Iraq, Bush has nicely defined everything he does in the terms on "you're with me or with the terrorists." Any opposition, principled or no, informed or no, is attacked and trashed on regressive reactionaries determined to squelch for once and forever the notion of public debate of the issues, or justification for actions. The ends not only justify the means, in the eye of Rove (the power behind the throne), but the ends themselves don't have to be achieved by consistent means. Any argument that can justify a desired Bush end is used, even if it contradicts prior arguments, reality, or sanity.

The War on Iraq is the best example of Bush doublespeak and lying for profit. Where are the weapons of mass destruction that were the reason we went to war? Apparently Saddam didn't have any, or if he did, the quantity of them was so small as to be easily destroyable without a trace within a two-week period. I'm sorry if bad ol' Saddam took a shot at your daddy, but US foreign policy cannot and should not be an instrument of settling personal grudges, especially at the cost of thousands of lives, both American and Iraqi. Remember the movie Clear and Present Danger. If something like that happened under the Bush administration, he would get away with it. Maybe Jack Ryan would have gotten a free trip to Guantanamo.

In the end, the Bush administration should thank the terrorists. By exploiting a national disaster, Bush has come the closest I hope to ever see to imposing an Orwellian dictatorship of dogma, where reason is dead and so is sanity. I hope the American people realize this before its too late, and vote the madmen out of the White House.

ASW (DGC) out.

Ah, yes. September 11. Two years ago, tragedy struck when... I'm sure you know all the details already, so I won't bore you with them.

To summarize, Osama bin Laden is still at large, and all Bush's done is get us embroiled into a war in Iraq that nobody else wanted. To compound this, Saddam Hussein is yet to be found as of this writing. The economy's in the pits, and things are generally not-so-good. I can safely say it's time for a change.

Now, getting off the political rants and into the comic itself, this is the 20th comic. Yay. Not much else to say, so I'll wrap it up right here.

The Creator has spoken, and wishes a peaceful 9/11 to all.
